I really cannot get on with PBWiki - badly designed, limited functionality and broken; a serious challenger for Windows Vista in the software rubbish challenge.

Horrid :-(

By the way, where were the instructions for doing this Participant readme.txt ? I made this page and linked to it because that seems to be what other people did - I can't actually find the file with instructions anywhere. A hyperlink would be nice or is having to poke around the site to findf it part of the challenge?

Hi, Pete.

I'm sorry you've had a bad experience with pbwiki. I don't necessarily disagree with you re any of the points you make above, but multiliteracy doesn't necessarily mean making use of only the apps that function best or the ones work best with a particular OS. I think pbwiki was chosenfor MultiLit , warts and all, because it's traditionally been used by a lot of folks who are just beginning to learn a bit about wikis.

The ReadMe text IS available; you just didn't scroll down far enough on the first of the two Pages & Files pages. You can find the ReadMe
here:

PS: I agree that there should have been a link elsewhere than in the Pages & Files list. I simply neglected to make one, so point the finger at me!

I also think the number of pages and files is getting out of hand. One thing I'll do about that is to put all of the individual Participant pages in a folder; then I'll make a link to it. I haven't done that yet, however.

Pete: I just discovered the reason you were frustrated about the instructions file (the Read Me text): someone had removed the link, and I only just noticed it.

I restored the link.
