This is the first time in a long time that I am using pbwiki. I like it. For some reason or other, though, I got used to using wikidot several years ago, and it is still my wiki of choice. I have used it for various courses that I have taught and for some WebQuests I desiigned. Wikis are a wonderful tool!
This is the wiki I will be using for one of my classes this semester. We will be reading and writing and talking about

Hi, Nancy.
This is a good start, and it makes use of one very important element: internal links. Brava!
What could you do to add graphics or other media? This would make the page more engaging.
I particularly enjoyed taking a look at your ESLNMU "Utopia" wiki: I've been interested in Utopian societies for some time and know about such places as Oneida, New Harmony, and the Amana Colonies. There was also something like a Utopian colony for a brief time in the small Southern Illinois town where I grew up—about which, more later (if you're interested).
I've visited New Harmony, by the way.

Hi, Nancy.
You're an expert! The wiki is great! I've been looking at webquests for some time, but I feel rather daunted by the prospect of creating one myself.
I also love the marking rubrics. We are not used to that degree of explicitness around here, and I believe it is so honest to students!
Congrats again!

Dear Nancy,
Your wiki is great. It is full of interesting material and I am sure your students will be thrilled to be using it. I have never used wikidot but have several wikis with wikispaces, pbwiki and wetpaint.
With my first webquest http://jenverschoor.wordpress.com/2008/08/14/a-collaborative-webques/ I used pbwiki and found many interesting features other wikis don´t offer.
Which is the best wiki for you?
Regards

Nancy,
I too like the look of your wiki. I had never heard of wikidot before. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. Is wikidot add free?

I have never seen ads on wikidot. That doesn't mean they won't show up tomorrow, of course!
I really like wikidot because it was the first wiki I could ever make sense of. It seemed easier than all the others three years ago. It could be I was just more persistent by the time I tried it! But I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to try a new wiki site.
